The XBSY Sand Pump is a heavy-duty centrifugal pump developed for continuous drilling fluid circulation and solids control applications in oil and gas drilling operations. It is designed to provide a stable supply of drilling mud to downstream equipment such as desanders, desilters, mud cleaners, and mixing systems.
Built for handling drilling fluids containing abrasive sand and solid particles, the pump incorporates a reliable mechanical seal assembly with tungsten carbide sealing faces and carbon fiber auxiliary sealing elements. This configuration provides good wear resistance and helps minimize leakage and seal damage during continuous operation.
The pump's hydraulic components are optimized using CFD hydraulic analysis to improve flow efficiency and reduce internal pressure losses. The impeller and volute casing are manufactured from wear-resistant high-chromium cast iron, providing enhanced resistance to erosion caused by abrasive drilling solids and helping extend component service life.
