LW520×1290BP-N Drilling Mud Decanter Centrifuge for Efficient Solids Separation


The XBSY LW520×1290BP-N Decanter Centrifuge is engineered for continuous processing of drilling fluids and efficient separation of fine solid particles. It is capable of treating solids in the approximate 2–5 μm range, making it suitable for demanding drilling fluid applications where effective clarification and solids removal are required.

The centrifuge is equipped with a 520 mm diameter bowl and 1290 mm bowl length and can reach a maximum bowl speed of 2300 RPM. The high-speed rotating bowl generates strong centrifugal force, enabling efficient separation of fine solids and recovery of valuable barite from drilling mud. Under appropriate operating conditions, the system can achieve more than 90% barite recovery, helping reduce mud consumption and improve drilling fluid reuse.

For applications such as shale gas drilling and high-pressure wells, mud properties may vary significantly during operation. The LW520×1290BP-N allows operators to adjust the bowl and scroll differential speed up to 40 RPM, providing greater flexibility for optimizing liquid clarification, solids discharge, and cake dryness according to different drilling conditions.

The machine uses a dual-motor drive system, consisting of a 55 kW main motor and 15 kW auxiliary motor. The integrated VFD control system provides smooth acceleration and deceleration as well as flexible operating-speed adjustment. Key parameters including bowl speed, motor current, and torque can be monitored during operation, allowing operators to respond quickly to changes in drilling fluid conditions.

With a maximum processing capacity of 70 m³/h, the LW520×1290BP-N is designed for high-volume drilling mud treatment. The main motor speed is 1480 RPM, while the auxiliary motor speed is 970 RPM. The equipment has an overall dimension of 3280 × 1725 × 1780 mm, allowing convenient integration into existing oilfield drilling fluid and solids control systems.
